リフィー川はダブリンの中心を通りダブリン湾へと流れる。
ダブリンに居る一週間、何度もリフィー川を渡ったもの。
流れる水がなぜか大好きな僕のことだから、ちょこまかに写真を撮っていた。
The river Liffey flows through the center of Dublin and into Dublin Bay.
I crossed it any number of times during my week in Dublin.
For some odd reason I love flowing water, so I took more than a few photos of it.
スライドショーの最後の一枚なのだけど、僕は撮っている間にずっと緊張しており自分に言い聞かせていた：「アイフォーンをリフィー川に絶対に落とすな、アイフォーンをリフィー川に絶対に落とすな、アイフォーンをリフィー川に…」（去年八月の旅で、僕がアイフォーンを琵琶湖に落としてしまったエピソードは、読者諸君は覚えているのだろう。）
That last photo in the slide show, I was on pins and needles the whole time I was taking it, telling myself, "Don't drop your iPhone into the river Liffey, don't drop your iPhone into the river Liffey, don't drop your..." (Faithful readers may remember that I dropped an iPhone into Lake Biwa on a trip last August.)
ダブリンに居る間ずっと、「リフィー」という言葉を考えるだけですぐさま以下のレディオヘッドの曲が思い浮かぶのだった。
The whole time I was in Dublin, all I had to do was think of the word 'Liffey' and the following Radiohead song would pop into my head.
