Unlike most of the jibber-jabber I post to this blog, this time I have information which will, I hope, come in handy.
(It is no coincidence that this information comes not from me but from someone else. Hence the handiness.)
Good friend and fellow tRaum Books author Tucker Lieberman made highlights in the Kindle version of Maej and marked them “visible” to others on Goodreads.
If you want to make your highlights visible (in Maej or any book you like), Tucker shared the way with me. His words:
1. Write a review of the book. (I think you have to do this first.)
2. Open your review. If you're on the Goodreads book page, find your review among everyone else's and click the date at top right. That opens your review in its own URL.
3. On the review page, under the ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐, it says the # of highlights. That's a link — click it, and you can toggle whether your Kindle highlights are visible.
(This is from desktop. Phone app may be different. If Goodreads can't pull the highlights from the Kindle e-reader, remember that Kindle devices have wi-fi and maybe you need to turn on wi-fi for just a second and press the ♻️ “sync” button.)
Many thanks to Tucker for this info! Learn more about his work at his recently revamped website:
